France  How about this from Kevin Justice - five 40lb plus Carp from France in literally a matter of weeks.

Starting in the last week of September Kevin targeted a lake just south of Paris.  There he recorded three Mirror Carp – 38lb 10oz, 40lb 8oz and 41lb 2oz.   Not a bad start!

A fortnight later he crossed the Channel again and, fishing a lake near Le Mans with a friend, caught a further five – a 19lb 8oz Common, 33lb 8oz Mirror, 36lb 10oz Common and two more ‘forties’ – one of exactly 40lbs, a Mirror, and a 41lb Common.  Not one to rest on his laurels Kevin then ventured further south to Chateroux where he only had a singleton.  This one though, a Mirror, weighed 47lb 2oz – a personal best for Kevin and a new Club record.

All were taken on 16lb test tackle – as Kevin describes it sold as 12lb but breaks out at 15.7lb.
