SCBI - Our Club Magazine

For many anglers their very first realisation of our Club’s existence is through the sighting of a glossy edition of our Club magazine.  They can and do turn up in the strangest of places - on boats, in bars, hotels in locations as distant as Australia, Kenya or Venezuela.  Or even the Isle of Wight!

It’s a pleasant surprise – the fact that there are others in the UK with similar interests.

Our magazine – British Sportfisherman - is published annually, normally in either December or January.   Each includes what is a mixture of articles – those of a technical nature, through to what are objective reports on members’ trips to venues from around the world, in fresh and saltwater.

On joining the Club, new members are forwarded back issues, where these remain available.  Others though who for whatever reason may not wish to join the Club can still acquire back issues.  A single copy, inclusive of postage, is £3 with each extra copy priced at £2.  Your application, accompanied by the full amount made payable to the Sportfishing Club of the British Isles, and identifying the issues you require should be forwarded to:

If you do not have access to funds in Sterling could you please contact us by e-mail, at info@scbi.org.uk, for equivalent rates in other currencies.  Amounts, pro-rata, will appear more expensive but this is to defray additional banking costs.
